- The origin and destination addresses, floor levels, elevator access, and building access conditions match those disclosed at booking.
- No additional stops, pickups, or drop-offs have been added that were not included in the original estimate.
Additional charges may apply when:
- Inventory discrepancies: Items are present on move day that were not listed in the booking inventory — including additional furniture, boxes, appliances, or specialty items not disclosed at the time of estimate.
- Access condition changes: Stairs, elevator availability, parking access, or building restrictions at origin or destination differ materially from what was disclosed at booking — including the discovery of elevator-only access, restricted loading zones, or additional flights of stairs not previously described.
- Additional scope added on move day: Packing services, additional stops, or extra services requested after the estimate was issued and not included in the written quote.
- Customer-caused delays: Extended waiting time caused by the customer not being ready at the agreed pickup time, delayed building or elevator access controlled by the customer, or delays in granting crew access to origin or destination.
- Third-party or external delays: Delays caused by factors outside Moverama's control — including but not limited to building management hold times, freight elevator scheduling conflicts at destination buildings, road closures, severe weather events, or permit or access issues not disclosed at booking. These delays may result in additional labor charges billed at our standard rate for the additional time incurred.
- Long-haul delivery holds: Storage-in-transit charges that result from a customer's inability to accept delivery at the agreed destination on the agreed date — where such delay is not caused by Moverama.
In every situation where additional scope or charges arise, your Moverama coordinator or crew lead will contact you before proceeding with additional work or billable time. You will never receive a revised invoice without prior notice and your acknowledgment. If anything about your move changes between booking and move day — new furniture, a new stop, access restrictions you've just learned about — call us immediately. We update estimates at no penalty when notified in advance.
